UBC and CMHA VF partner to support mental health

In 2020, we had planned to host a special benefit concert, put on by our own mental health advocate, President Santa Ono, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Vancouver Fraser (CMHA VF). However, due to COVID-19 this sadly was not possible.

In lieu of an in-person event, Santa Ono shared the following message during Thrive Month at UBC:

Mental health at UBC

Mental wellness plays a crucial role in our ability to live, work, and learn well. We all have mental health, and while it might look and feel different for each of us, we all benefit from maintaining and fostering it.

Funds raised by the planned benefit concert would have supported the amazing work in mental health going on at CMHA VF and UBC. Though the concert can’t take place this year, you can still support mental health initiatives at UBC by donating to our Student Wellness initiative, and learn more about how we’re working towards mental health and wellbeing for all.
