One of my first and oldest friends in Canada, I met Rick during our undergraduate studies at the University of Lethbridge. Kind, funny, calm, he stayed true to himself for all these decades since we first met. Our shared love of soccer, beer, and fine whiskeys kept us connected. Even after not seeing each other for years, it always seemed like no time had passed when we met up again. We would grin, greet, order a pint, and start to chat as if we had seen each other just a few days ago. I miss him deeply. .
