A diverse teaching workforce can empower students and enrich their learning experiences.

The underrepresentation of Black educators in Canada affects not only Black students, who may have limited access to role models reflecting their identities and experiences, but also all students, who miss the rich perspectives and contributions that Black educators bring to the classroom.
