About Kuljit Grewal
Kuljit Grewal was a remarkable individual who met every obstacle with courage, ultimately turning his personal experiences into a career of advocacy and care.
Beginning with his first kidney transplant at age four, Kuljit navigated significant medical challenges with a quiet resilience that defined his character. Rather than merely surviving these experiences, he used them to fuel his academic journey at UBC, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in 2020 and his Entry-to-Practice Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2025. He went on to serve his community as a Pharmacy Resident in the Pharmacy Residency Program at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Kuljit drew upon his lived experience to advocate for his patients and contribute to research aimed at improving the safety and quality of care for transplant recipients. He approached his work with sharp logic and a determination to make the healthcare system more accessible for everyone.
Incredibly kind, funny and intelligent, Kuljit will be deeply missed by everyone lucky enough to have had him in their lives.
