How donors are helping UBC
shape a better world

When you have the right people and the right resources coupled with ambition and vision—magic happens.

UBC faculty, staff and students are working to create ideas and action for a better world. Many of them are supported by donors, whose passion and generosity are helping students become leaders, translating research into action, and making our communities stronger. Behind every gift is a story—of donors and the change they wish to make. Here are just a selection of the many amazing stories of donor impact.

UBC Development and Alumni Engagement

UBC’s Development and Alumni Engagement office (DAE) fosters engagement with alumni and donors—connecting them to strategic initiatives and priority projects that allow them to translate their passions into meaningful action. In support of this work, DAE recently launched its most ambitious campaign ever. A bold commitment to help solve some of the world’s most urgent problems, FORWARD, the campaign for UBC, will raise $3 billion and activate the power of our global alumni by doubling alumni engagement. The campaign is already benefitting research, teaching and learning in three key areas—advancing healthy lives, a healthy planet and healthy societies. Donors and alumni are the catalyst making it happen.
