To improve intercultural understanding and awareness among its diverse student body and the global community it serves, UBC is taking a leadership role in teaching and building research excellence in Persian language and Iranian studies.
Donor funding is critical for many students to obtain a post-secondary education. The Faculty of Arts Bursary Fund provides students with the much-needed finances and enables them to focus on their studies. Bursaries totalling $23,500 have been endowed by alumni and friends of the Faculty of Arts for undergraduate students.
The UBC School of Music is today one of the leading music schools in Canada and the largest in western Canada with some 300 undergraduates and 100-plus graduate students.
