Promoting the health of British Columbians inspires all we do in the Faculty of Medicine. Driven to provide quality health care, the Southern Medical Program trains students in the BC Interior and connects future doctors with the needs of local communities. Our collaborative partnerships with the medical community, Interior Health, private donors, and our UBC colleagues play a significant role in our program’s success. Our vision is to see our students returning to practice in communities across the BC Interior where they will enhance health care in the regions that need them the most.

Bursaries are critical forms of support that are made available to students with demonstrated unmet financial need. We are grateful for to donors who help our students alleviate some of the financial stressors as they pursue their medical careers and enter practice.
