Brian has always led by example! A kind and generous colleague!
To a Life well lived, both personally and professionally. It was an honour to know him as both a student and collegue.
Carole & David Muller very much enjoyed sharing time and many good memories with Brian at social bridge, food & wine and Arts Club performances. We'll also cherish his hand turned wooden bowl from wood off our own backyard tree that he presented to us. Love C & D
Although I worked with Brian Lahiffe for only two years at the College of Dental Surgeons between 1996-98, he left a lasting impression and I admire him to this day. An exemplary human being.
Brian & I were classmates and friends, first at Willow Park and later Blackrock College and contempoarriesat UCD . He rteurned to Dublin for the 50th graduation celebration in 2012. I am very sad to hear of his passing. I have some photos from our school days which I sent to him -anyone else seeking copies can request at murphycj@iol.ie
I went to Dr. Lahiffe for periodontal treatment almost 30 years ago. Just before he started poking in my mouth, he warned me that what he was about to do was going to hurt like crazy - so crazy painful that I might feel the urge to kick him. If was painful, but he talked me through the whole procedure with his kind soothing voice. I haven’t had to go back to his clinic after the 2 surgeries I had, but here we are almost 30 years later and I still remember the pleasant experience I had under his and his staff’s care - that coming from a patient who does not look forward to dental visits!
