We will so miss Carol's warm and beautiful smile. Every time we met this lovely lady, we came away with a warm and wonderful feeling of being around her. Dear carol, no more tears, no more pain. - dick & Jane butler.
I am extremely grateful for the time we had as friends! Thank you.
I am so saddened to hear of Carol’s passing. We spent many hours together at work in Highway Planning Branch and after hours in our ‘heyday’ – travelling to ball tournaments in the interior of BC and just all round enjoying our young lives together as work colleagues and friends. She is a very bright light gone too soon. My sincere condolences to Peter and her family.
To a valued friend and colleague ... your smile, cheerful disposition and gift of bringing out the best in everyone will be missed greatly. Words simply escape me to truly express the enormity of such a tragic loss. To family and friends that she loved so much, please accept my deepest of condolences.
Our hearts are heavy with sadness with the passing of Carol. I first met Carol and Pierre at Horne Lake and they were beautiful, kind and generous individuals. Horne lake is heaven to me and Carol is in heaven. I will be there soon and we will have a glass a wine together... Love you Carol. Cathy Loukas and my Partner Gail Landsberger
An unforgettable spirit has passed from among us and the community of Horne Lake, family and friends mourns her loss. We met Carol & Pierre at the lake, always waved when we saw them kayaking, enjoyed the times they stopped for a cold drink and a lunch snack on their many walks. Love gets us through the toughest times, it brings us smiles and clears our minds. The spirit remembers and love lives on.
I will remember Carols’ great smile and most infectious laugh – one that fills a room and warms you from the inside – we have truly lost a light. Pierre you both have been in my thoughts. I'll miss our kayak rides together! We will meet up again one day for another one.
Carol and Pierre, I fondly remember the warmth with which you welcomed me to Horne Lake. Your friendly, bright smiles and hugs each time we'd meet. The beautiful home you created together, overlooking this spectacular lake, where surely, Carol's spirit lives on. Pierre, you're in my thoughts and prayers. With love & gratitude, Kris
Dear Pierre and Carol's family: We are so saddened to learn of Carol's passing. She will be remembered for being such a "bright light"... always with a big smile and something important to say... so competent, and so, so nice! We share your sorrow, and send to you our sincerest condolences.
Pierre, We are so grateful for the wonderful memories of your visit here in Fredericton in July. We so admire Carol's spunk in travelling across Canada with you and her family to join us for the wedding...she taught us all a lesson in bravery as well as how to do the elephant walk. Wish we were closer to give you a big hug! Anne and Paul Caverhill
Carol is now gone from us but we will cherish the many memories we have of both Carol & Pierre from the many years we have known and enjoyed their company. My most recent memory is from August 20th at one of the many "Pot-Luck Dinners" we have enjoyed together with our Horne Lake group. This one at Ruth & Rob's with dancing included. The other was on August 27th when NINE of us went kayaking at Horne Lake. Carol was right there with her chearful smile and keeping up with all the rest, you would not know that she was having any health problems. We will miss Carol, our group has lost a very loving, friendly person and we will miss her terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pierre, Carol's mother and the rest of the family. I fell in love with Carol right from the start. She was such an amazing person. Carol was my soul mate; she was my best friend, my wife, and my engineering colleague. She was bright, fun and never missed a beat. We did many great things together. One of our achievements that I am very proud of, was building our dream cottage which we completed two summers ago. Carol’s engineering and planning talent really came through on this project. She had great vision combined with a keen eye for detail. It’s amazing how the two of us worked so well together. The ability to collaborate to this extent is rarely found between two people. She loved her new lake cottage and I am at peace knowing that we had time to enjoy the fruits of our labour. It’s only been a few days since she is gone and I miss her dearly. I love you Carol.
Carol was my sister, friend and soul mate. Her first engineering project was a rabbit hutch she designed and built with my Dad when she was a child. Carol was dearly loved by her family and we will carry her in our hearts forever.
Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there. I did not die.
Carol we will miss your smiling face and warm heart. xoxoxo
Dear friend for 35 years! We will dearly miss your mischievous grin and boundless energy. We will treasure the times we've shared and will be comforted to know that your spirit will remain within our hearts. Cheers old friend!
We will miss having Carol as our friendly neighbour at Horne Lake. When the breeze blows, when we smell the sweet fragrance of the forest, when the sun shines, when the raindrops fall, we will certainly continue to feel her spirit! Our hearts go out to Pierre and to Carol’s family. Love from the Chris and Mary Ann Dusting Family
In honor of Carol and in support of Chantelle and the Boudreau family, the STARR Program from Garth Homer Society raised $241.89 with our recent Hot Dog Day Fundraiser. All proceeds have been donated to the fund in tribute to Carol...an amazing engineer, wife, step-mother, and friend.
Carol had eyes that danced and a smile that lit up a room. She was genuine, good natured, loyal and kind. She will be deeply missed. Carolann & Gary.
