About Kyleah Kubota & Jessie Park
Kyleah Kubota and Jessie Park were fellow students in the Entry-to-Practice Doctor of Pharmacy program at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In honour of their beloved classmates, the UBC Pharmacy Class of 2020 would like to establish a memorial award that will celebrate Kyleah and Jessie’s lives and accomplishments, keeping them forever in our thoughts. The UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences would like to support the creation of this award and have joined the Class of 2020 by making a financial contribution.
“Kyleah embodied many personas – from being an adventurous and spirited outdoor enthusiast to a talented and inspiring artist, every moment spent with her was unforgettable. She was also a dedicated and passionate scholar, with a kind and caring heart towards all. Within her many roles, she was always a ray of sunshine – her warmth, energy, and bright personality never failed to put a smile on the faces of those around her. Kyleah will always be remembered as a courageous and open-minded friend who inspired everyone to live boldly and think about life beyond school.” – Kubota Family
“Jessie was one of the brightest stars, and one of the most lovable, joyful, and positive people in our lives. She excelled in academics and was an extremely talented singer, who was actively involved in the UBC Pharmacy Vocal Ensemble and her church choir. She will forever remain a cherished daughter, devoted friend, talented musician, and a highly respected colleague.” – Park Family
