About Parto Piran-Moradi
Born on April 21, 1968, Parto Piran-Moradi spent her childhood in Tehran, Iran and attended a variety of international schools, including Rostam Abadian. She moved to Switzerland in 1984 and graduated from high school in 1987. Parto then moved to Minnesota to attend college.
In 1989, Parto joined the rest of her family in Vancouver where she continued her studies at the University of British Columbia. She graduated in 1992 with a BA in International Relations with an emphasis on Eastern European history. While in college, she spent a summer volunteering in the Czech Republic. Parto embraced different cultures and was fluent in four languages including German and French.
In 1992, Parto met the love of her life, Mohammed (“Mick”, as she called him) Moradi. They married in 1993 and lived in Florida before relocating to the Bay Area in 1995. The two most important events in her life were surely giving birth to her precious sons, Shayon (2000) and Kamyar (2002).
