About Tanya Lindstrom
Tanya Lindstrom was a registered midwife, doula and childbirth educator whose warmth, knowledge and calm presence supported countless families across the Fraser Valley. She approached every birth with compassion and respect, empowering parents to feel confident and cared for throughout the experience.
Tanya began her birth-work journey in 2000 and went on to practise through Abbotsford Midwifery, Grow Midwifery and The Midwives. She was admired for her professionalism, advocacy for family-centred care and mentorship of students entering the field. Her deep belief in the balance of holistic health, modern medicine and intuitive wisdom guided her work and inspired those around her.
An adventurer at heart, Tanya found joy and strength in nature and often drew connections between the rhythms of the natural world and the power of birth. She faced breast cancer with extraordinary courage and grace, continuing to embody the resilience and generosity that defined her life.
Tanya’s legacy lives on through the students and families she inspired and through the continuing impact of her values: compassion, curiosity and a deep belief in the transformative power of care.
