Students tackle real-world problems identified by partner organizations, and produce applied research that has an immediate impact on sustainability practices in the region.
UBC Sustainability Scholars work on a range of sustainability topics such as climate mitigation and adaptation, sustainable transportation, emergency preparedness, zero waste, green buildings, biodiversity, and human wellbeing.
Your donation provides UBC graduate students with a unique educational opportunity, as well as experience working on real-world sustainability problems. Students benefit from the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and research skills in ways that contribute to meeting our region’s pressing sustainability goals.
The program also connects UBC with partner organizations so that together, we can address important issues like the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, air pollution, and more.
