UBC Women’s Field Hockey has had a history of dominance and a rich legacy of student athletes who have played field hockey and stayed connected through an incredible alumni network. The program is the most winningest program in Canada, and is one of three of the original sports that began at UBC in 1908. Much of this success is owed to the dedication and sacrifice from our former players, coaches, and long-term supporters.
All funds raised through this initiative will benefit the Women’s Field Hockey team directly. This includes new or increased investment in the following: coaching leadership, competition opportunities, talent identification, equipment, performance analysis, and athlete services (sport science and sport therapy).
UBC Women’s field hockey has over 100 years of history, and is one the most storied and successful programs in Canada. The program is defined by both the 16 national championships won and the quality and character of its graduates.
With your contribution we can continue our commitment to excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community. We can continue to attract not only great athletes but women who will leave university and become outstanding contributors to society in part because of their involvement with our program. Every contribution counts and will make a difference so please make a monthly donation to the Women’s Field Hockey Alumni Club today.
Thank you for your support.
The UBC Women’s Field Hockey Alumni Club is a new avenue for alumni, friends and supporters to be part of the Thunderbird Women’s Field Hockey program and help drive the program’s success. This monthly giving club is an initiative developed and supported by the UBC Women’s Field Hockey alumni and Coach Poonam Sandhu. It will provide an opportunity to financially support the team in an accessible way with the cumulative effect having a substantial impact on the resources we can provide for our student athletes and the quality of their UBC experience.
Our goal is to engage our former players to invest in the program so that we can continue the legacy that our alumni were critical in building. Please join us and make a donation to support the team today.
