The highest demand for library materials and services takes place in the technological realm. Library branches also provide access to a variety of technologies including more than 630 computer workstations, as well as laptops, camcorders, projectors, SMART boards, scanners, voice recorders, audio mixers, speakers and more for students to borrow.
In the past, funds from the UBC Library Technology Endowment allowed UBC Library to purchase additional public computer workstations and upgrade many workstations in various library branches across UBC.
Demand for technological equipment and resources continues to grow — and technology continues to rapidly evolve. Your support of the UBC Library Technology Endowment Fund is an integral part of the library’s ability to purchase these digital platforms, e-books, resources, and equipment so that UBC Library can embrace the digital revolution and ensure that students, faculty, alumni and the wider community can tap into its vast repository of knowledge from any place, at any time.
