Medical school is a journey fuelled by passion, dedication and resilience. At the UBC Faculty of Medicine, our MD students are learning and growing to serve the evolving health needs of communities across British Columbia.
Recently, the MD program was expanded to train more future doctors each year. Also, admissions pathways were improved to make medical school more inclusive of students from diverse backgrounds and more responsive to the communities we serve. This approach supports better health outcomes for all residents of BC.
The need for bursaries has never been greater. Today’s medical students face high prices for rent and groceries, in a province where the rising cost of living outpaces the national average.
Your support of bursaries lightens the financial load MD students carry along their journey to becoming doctors and enables them to focus on what matters most. They can seize every opportunity to learn and grow academically, professionally and personally, in preparation to serve and heal the next generations.
By coming together and investing in medical education, we are empowering the health leaders of tomorrow and the wellbeing of our communities.
Together, we will transform health for everyone.
