UBC Annual Giving
The UBC Faculty of Medicine—with over 8,000 MD alumni—comprises four geographically distinct sites, including the Vancouver Fraser Medical Program, the Island Medical Program on Vancouver Island, the Northern Medical Program in Prince George, and the Southern Medical Program in Kelowna. As a member of the UBC MAA, you have access to invaluable professional, leadership, and social opportunities for connecting with medical students and alumni across BC, throughout Canada, and around the world.
From orientation and educational programming to networking events and the MD shingle program, these initiatives are not possible without the support of alumni like you.
Your membership and additional donations support many initiatives that the UBC MAA is involved with throughout the year. Including, but limited to: the ongoing operations of the William A. Webber Medical Student & Alumni Centre (MSAC) in Vancouver and the MSACs in Victoria and Prince George; the development of new centres for medical students and alumni in other parts of the province; videoconferencing technology to connect students and alumni across BC; a presence at the annual Hooding Ceremony; a community welcome in the MD yearbook; a gift of a shingle for each member of the graduating MD class with their name and MD beside it for the first time; and the UBC MAA’s Annual Recognition Awards program.
Your membership will help build connections with our medical alumni and support the next generation of students to thrive in their studies and their careers. Please sign up for membership today and continue to keep your membership current each calendar year to be part of this influential network of peers. By making an additional donation you will be supporting the MSAC facilities across the province.
If you would like an access card for the MSAC in Vancouver, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604.875.4111 x62032.
We gratefully acknowledge that the UBC Faculty of Medicine and its distributed medical programs, which includes four university academic campuses, are located on traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous peoples around the province.
