The Medicine Rural Placements Program connects medical students with firsthand experience in delivering care to underserved populations across BC, helping them to develop the skills, knowledge and cultural understanding necessary for greater equity and access in healthcare.
Rural training is a mandatory component of medical school that incurs additional expenses for students. Your donation today can help fund student travel, accommodation and essential resources that make these placements possible. Your support of this program is an investment in building a future where more patients and communities have access to doctors who understand their needs and can navigate the challenges of delivering healthcare in rural and remote settings. Since its inception, this program has given medical students transformative learning experiences, while strengthening health equity and access to healthcare delivered closer to home.
Please join us in transforming medical education and health across the province. Your support of rural medical training helps build a healthier future for all.
