Imagine having the chance, as a student, to apply your learning beyond the classroom.
Through the Office of Regional and International Community Engagement (ORICE), students can participate in community-based research programs, allowing them to take what they’ve learned in class and engage directly with the many complex issues facing our local and global communities.
By supporting the ORICE Student Learning Fund, you will help provide financial support for UBC students who are participating in ORICE programs and identify as part of historically, persistently or systematically marginalized groups.
In a time when equity, diversity and inclusion efforts are facing mounting challenges, you can reaffirm, with us, a commitment to create spaces where every student feels seen, supported and encouraged.
“The learnings and teachings and ethos that formed as part of my work with ORICE still accompany me on a daily basis…that’s how transformative the experience was,” says Vladimir Chindea (BA ’22). “I just felt so good with the [ORICE] team, I felt always that I could learn and be challenged. I learned and unlearned so much.”
Help transform the learning experiences—and lives—of students like Vladimir. Give today.
