Teachers mould our society. No other field contributes as much to the shaping and influencing of young minds. By ensuring education students have access to the best programs possible, UBC alumni and friends of the Faculty of Education are actively working to build a stronger society.
UBC’s Faculty of Education offers BC’s largest teacher preparation program — the only one that includes all areas of specialization for secondary teaching, two options for elementary teaching, and a middle years option. The faculty also boasts a major graduate program, professional development options for teachers, and BC’s longest running program for people of aboriginal heritage.
$26,100 in scholarship funds are available to students in the Faculty of Education. With the cost of living on the rise, the Dean of Education Scholarship helps keep education accessible and affordable to talented students.
For education students at the University of British Columbia, the Dean of Education Scholarship is a chance to go beyond the books and become a transformative teacher — someone who understands education is process of encouragement, engagement, trust, and mutual respect.
Support for the Dean of Education Scholarship has been inspirational, and the Faculty hopes to grow the fund over the coming years to help even more students. By contributing to the Dean of Education Scholarship, you can help UBC build a brighter future by providing tomorrow’s teachers with the skills they need today.
