Your support for promising students is needed more urgently than ever.

In an ever-changing world, students need to be empowered to thrive. When you give to UBC, you create opportunities for students to learn, discover and contribute to our society.

“We’re very encouraged by and grateful for the amount of support we’ve seen for our students,” said UBC President and Vice-Chancellor Santa J. Ono. “Students are at the heart of what we do. Ultimately, we want to ensure that more students get access to the best possible education without overwhelming financial concerns.

Make a difference today

Many exceptional young people are not afforded the opportunities nor provided support that centres on their unique experience. The Blue & Gold Campaign is a commitment to these students and is the most extensive fundraising campaign for students in UBC’s 105-year history. It supports a range of student awards, including fellowships, scholarships, bursaries, and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students at the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.

Areas of emphasis include awards that support the best and the brightest students, those that are in financial need, and students from under-represented communities in an effort to increase access and diversity.

Some of the areas that you can financially support these efforts:

Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award

The new endowed Beyond Tomorrow Award will provide support for Black students who have demonstrated both academic merit, and leadership skills or involvement in community activities, however would not be able to attend UBC without significant financial assistance.

These entrance awards have been created specifically to support Canadian Indigenous students with demonstrated financial need to attend UBC and succeed.

Blue & Gold Bursary

The endowed Blue & Gold Bursary will provide support for deserving students with demonstrated financial need. Every dollar you contribute to this endowment fund will help provide talented students with the tools they need to truly create lasting and meaningful change.

By supporting these awards, you will help UBC to recognize and attract the most accomplished and promising entering domestic students who have demonstrated both academic merit and leadership skills.
