Southern Medical Program
Student Bursary

Every year 32 MD students enter the Southern Medical Program to embark on their four year training program at sites throughout the Interior Health region. Given the high cost of tuition and other expenses while in medical school many students incur daunting levels of debt during their MD program that they carry with them into a residency program. Bursaries are critical forms of support that are made available to students with demonstrated unmet financial need. We are grateful for to donors who help our students alleviate some of the financial stressors as they pursue their medical careers and enter practice.
