This year’s wildfire season has been a difficult time for communities across British Columbia and Canada. Many UBC Okanagan students have been impacted and are distressed by these events outside their control. But together, we can help.

UBC Okanagan is committed to supporting students in times of adversity—and you can help. Your gift to the UBC Okanagan Student Emergency Assistance Fund will provide:

Rapid access to emergency funds for expenses including temporary housing, food and immediate transportation
A generous helping hand to deal with extraordinary and unexpected challenges
Help with alleviating stress of housing instability, food insecurity or emergency-related costs–so that students can focus on their studies

Right now, your gift will go even further. A matching gift of $10,000 has been offered so that together we can make a big impact. Your gift today could be doubled.

We are just beginning to understand the impact of this year’s wildfires. Your gift will help students in immediate need today, for a better tomorrow.
